Classrooms play a very significant role in a student’s life. Keeping this in mind, we have aesthetically designed and well-furnished classrooms at Brightways providing environment that fosters excellence and inspires students to perform their best. Our classrooms are air-conditioned and extremely spacious (each classroom is of size 575 sq.ft.) with abundant natural light offering perfect ambience for vibrant, safe and valuable learning experience.
Every classroom has two display boards that are decorated by both teachers and students for different events throughout the academic year. To focus on each child individually, we maintain teacher-student ratio as 1:40. Our little bundle of joys in pre-primary wing need little more attention and for that we uphold a ratio of 1:30 in this division.
Brightways has welcomed the revolution of the education system- “Smart Class” to keep the students abreast with latest technology. Its introduction in the classrooms makes learning fun-filled and more interesting. The exhaustive repository of world class digital modules allows every classroom session to be interactive and engaging. Our students can learn difficult & intangible concepts with much ease and clarity through fascinating visual modules comprising of 2D and 3D animations, graphics, audio and video on every subject.
The serene ambience of our library motivates our children to delve into the magical world of words and widen their horizon. We encourage our students to read books from the very young age so that they become independent to learn and gain knowledge. The architecture of our library is very inspirational and conducive to learning that allows the children to learn, think and share their ideas on wider platform. The library is centrally located in the school so that whole world of knowledge is readily available to the students inspiring their thoughts and imagination in a creative manner. An experienced librarian is there to help children locate the relevant books.
BIS is proud to have a sophisticated Physics lab that helps students develop a broad array of experimental and analytical skills along with understanding of direct observation as compared to inference based on theory. The incorporation of latest technology in this lab allows the teachers to reinforce the knowledge obtained in theory class on the fundamental concepts of Physics. The laboratory has latest state-of-the-art facilities with equipments ranging from beam balance, spring balance, lens, voltmeter, ammeter and spectrometers to name a few. The spacious lab is designed very carefully so that students can be accommodated here comfortably. An experienced lab demonstrator helps the teacher in demonstrating the practical to the students.
The spacious and intricately designed Biology lab at Brightways ensures that children bring learning to life and appreciate the power of exploration & experimentation. The storage cabinets, where chemicals needed for the practical are stored, are easily accessible. The laboratory apparatus comprising of test tubes, slides, petridishes, beakers, flasks, Bunsen burners, cover slips etc is kept very carefully in the lab. There are high-powered and expensive microscopes that enable the students to observe samples and organisms closely. You can also find various models and life size skeletons along with charts as well as specimens for demonstrations. The teachers make use of advanced technology to make the lessons more interesting and effective.
Brightways has an advanced Chemistry laboratory that provides a perfect platform to students to enhance their innovative and scientific skills. The lab is furnished with latest hi-tech equipments where students conduct experiments to learn & validate their concepts. The devices found in this lab comprise of distillation unit, fume hood, centrifuge chemical balance, concealed gas line and various chemicals. The potentially hazardous chemicals are cautiously stored in separate areas. To ensure proper safety measures are taken, the lab has safety devices like fire-fighting equipment and first-aid kit. The teacher and lab attendant is always present to guide students during the experiments.
BIS has an advanced maths lab to encourage the students to learn through practice. Our expert teachers use various interactive physical tools, special software, drawing boards and models to explain the abstract concepts of mathematics so that it becomes easy to bridge the gap between real and theoretical world. The facilities in this lab are used well both by the teachers as well as students. Regular assignments are provided to improve skills of reasoning and logical thinking.
Information technology has become an integral part of our daily lives and is very helpful to achieve our career goals. We have well-designed computer lab that is wi-fi enabled and is fitted with all modern facilities & high-speed internet connection. The lab being easily accessible to students has the latest hardware and software and helps students search for information, make creative presentations, do their project works and work on sophisticated multimedia. Our computer lab enables the students to master their skills from basic to advanced level, enhance their creativity with new designs & concepts and improve their overall knowledge & perspective.
We have spacious, air-conditioned, adequate English Language lab that greatly improves our students’ English expertise in four areas: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Latest audio-visual technology is used in these interactive sessions that make learning easier and fun.
Sports lay a strong foundation in every aspect of child’s development and learning. Every effort is made at Brightways to ensure children learn discipline, punctuality, team spirit and sportsmanship. The school has meticulously maintained playing-fields and sporting facilities in an area of more than 2 acres/approx. 1,00,000 sq.ft. Outdoor and indoor games expose our children to a wide spectrum of sports activities. One can see our students playing cricket, football, basketball, hockey, lawn tennis, badminton or trying their hands at horse-riding enthusiastically on the multipurpose ground in the school. The students get hands-on experience and tips on various sports from well-qualified Physical instruction trainers present there. Our school actively participates in inter-school matches that are held from time to time and has won several accolades in various sports events.
The little ones of pre-primary wing have gala time on the swings present in the play area specially designed for them.
Swimming is an ideal fitness activity that allows children have fun especially when they are in pool with their friends. The swimming pool in our school conforms to best safety standards. A professional trainer is always present there to coach students. Inter house swimming competitions are held in the pool encouraging students to keenly take part in this sport. The school has a separate Kids Plash Pool for the little ones to enjoy during the hot summer months.
Art and Craft classes at BIS encourage students to be creative and use their imagination, feelings & emotions to express their innermost thoughts. We have spacious and brightly lit art & craft room where various activities are conducted on regular basis like glass painting, oil pastel painting, sand painting, sketching, spray painting, clay modelling, textile designing, poster making etc. The art room has pertinent art material and it provides an environment that kindles the innate creativity of young minds and enhances their learning skills. The trained and dedicated art faculty motivates and prepares students to participate in art and colouring competitions held in our school as well as in other schools.
